10-11-2014 : Orientation and mobility training
We had the chance to share a moment with Natalie Perzylo, a Canadian expert in mobility and orientation for blind children, who has been working for New Zealand's Blind Foundation for 10 years.
Students and teachers were shown how to adequately guide a blind person, in an environment full of obstacles. The introduction to white canes is a great example of the multiple advices we received on how to raise visually impaired people’s independence.
It was a really interesting day for everybody, as we learned much precious information while having such a great time.
